• We have advised and assisted several
multinational corporations that provide technical
services and telecommunications infrastructure
to incorporate their offices in Honduras, as well
as obtaining all the necessary permits to perform
their activities and be inserted into the market.
• We incorporated an important satellite
voice and data services company, obtaining all
the necessary permits to allow it to operate.
We have continued to provide them with legal advice
in all sorts of negotiations including those with
the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL).
• Our firm participated through one of
our notary publics supervising the bidding process
and later on the concession o fan exploitation
license for one band of the radio electric spectrum
to be exploited by an important cellular phone
company.
• When two multinational corporations selling
similar products entered into a rough competition
for market share, one of them tried to position
their brand through the use of packaging and publicity
that presented many similarities with the other
one’s product. We handled both the administrative
claim and later on a tort claim on behalf of the
affected party. We obtained a favorable administrative
resolution forcing the company violating intellectual
property laws to withdraw it’s product from
the market and pay steep fines to the state. The
tort claim was later settled and used to settle
similar claims in several Latin American countries
in favorable manner to our representatives.
• We’ve successfully handled several
claims for unlawful competition on behalf of national
and multinational corporations at both the administrative
and judicial levels.
• We have handled several claims regarding
representation and distributorship obtaining positive
results in behalf of parent companies.
• We handled a claim against the Ministry
of Public Works and Transportation for a major
contractor related to changes in orders beyond
the scope of their contract and obtained recognition
for the company’s losses for over forty
five million Lempiras (US$ 2.5 million).
• We have successfully handled several
property claims from foreign citizens, regularizing
all situations involved in the process.
• Our attorneys have handled and obtained
all appropriate permits for over one hundred municipal
associations which administer this same number
of centers for science and communications located
in the poorest communities in Honduras.
• Our attorneys elaborated the rules and
guidelines for the election of authorities for
a major NGO for municipal development. They were
adopted and brought great results both to the
organization and to the election itself.
• We incorporated the local branch of a
major regional corporation that provides services
to industrial investors. Later on, we handled
the sale of the company to a different representative
and have continued to provide legal advice for
them.
• We have provided services for tourism
entrepreneurs in the Bay Islands area that go
from constituting a corporation and all necessary
steps to make it operational to the registration
of several vessels in their name, obtaining of
all permits required to make the venture successful.
• We are listed amongst the pool of notary
publics that provide services for the Honduran
Attorney General’s office.
